Can i shoot someone in the foot for defense?

i want to carry i concealed handgun and i will get the liscense because i live in a bad area and alot of people are always trying to fight other people so i was wondering if someone wants to fight me and is walking up to me like hes gunna hit me or he does hit me am i aloud to take his toe off with my handgun for selfdefense and not get in trouble with the law ofcourse
