Can i get a gun with a misdemeanor gun charge?

when i was 19 i got charged with a misdemeanor gun charge M 12025(A)(2) PC....i did all i needed on my probation and am in the process of getting it ex-sponged. Am I able to purchase a handgun? sorry last one wasn't detailed enough!
